Navy Dockyards

Definetly a must see. Lots to do. Wonderful shopping opportunities. And of course Dolphin Quest which my daughter loved. Getting there is easy and fast. You can catch a bus or ferryfrom Hamilton or St. Georges. The ferry ride is not only scenic, but fun.

Boating

by redtrike1

While you are there you must hire one of the many motor boats that are there. Apart from the fun af driving around, the views of the coasts and harbours is quite breath taking from the sea.Plus you get the opportunity of finding the out of the way beaches, and look out for the pink sandy beaches as well.It is supposed to be illegal to have fires and bbqs on some of the small islands, but you will find plenty of evidence of previous ones scattered about - dont get caught.

Caves

by liqdstar

bermuda is full of caves. The most popular one seemed to be Crystal Caves, but there are many smaller caves throughout the island.Crystal Caves is a a touristy spot, there is an admission fee of about $12, wich covers a small guided tour. The caves are beautiful, and the water inside is amazing. Its so crystal clear, it looks like its only a few feet deep but its actually about 50 feet deep at the deepest point!if you dont want to spend the money, there are also other free caves in the island, which are just as good. Our hotel (grotto bay) had 2 caves on its premises, which were much smaller then the crystal caves, but just as beautiful. The water inside the hotel caves was a greenish clear color, and we saw a few small fish swimming by. Definitely make a stop in at least one cave while you're down there!

Warwick Long Bay

by davidmottershead

With 1 km of uninterrupted pink sand it’s the most easterly of the beaches of South Shore Park and the longest in Bermuda.Although open and exposed to southerly winds, the waves are generally moderate due to the nearby reef. The many broilers found at the reef are an interesting feature. Warwick Long Bay is less busy than many other beaches and is popular with the dog-walking, jogging and walking fraternities.

Horseshoe Bay

by davidmottershead

Horseshoe Bay is definitely the most popular and arguably the most beautiful of Bermuda’s beaches. Unsurprisingly its pink sands are shaped like a horseshoe. It also boasts more facilities than any other public beach in Bermuda.

Bermuda Clayworks

by davidmottershead

Bermuda Clayworks is housed in old repair shop at the Royal Naval Dockyard and is Bermuda’s only commercial pottery. Opened in 1997 by British-born Jon Faulkner and his wife Sundee, its colourful clay creations are popular with both locals and visitors.

interesting place to see

A small side trip you may want to take is this one , if you are into seeing old churches..This description is borrowed from a sight seeing guide....East of King's Square is the Duke of York Street, where St. Peter's Church, believed to be the oldest Anglican place of worship in the Western Hemisphere, is located. The original church on this spot, built by colonists in 1612 almost entirely of cedar with a palmetto-leaf thatch roof, was almost destroyed by a hurricane in 1712. Some of the interior, including the original altar from 1615 (still in daily use) was salvaged, and the church was rebuilt in 1713. It has been restored many times since and provides excellent examples of architectural work of the 17th to the 20th centuries. The tower was added in 1814. On display in the vestry is a silver communion service given to the church by King William III in 1697. Before the Old State House...

We took a glass bottom boat ride out in to the harbor and surrounding waters. We did get to see some of bermudas beautiful coast line in interesting house designs...One this part of the trip they were feeding the fish to create a feeding frenzy as they called it.There were no fish in the are, but once the food hit the water, it only took a few seconds and hundreds of fish swarmed the area..It was also interesting traveling over the coral to see the fish under the boat...

Swimming with the Dolphins

by cheryl_mcleod21

The group I had this experience with was Dolphin Quest Bermuda.Basically it is what it sounds like, you get to swim with the dolphins. It's such an amazing experience that any animal lover should take part in. To begin, you get into a wetsuit and life jacket and get into the water. You're part of a group of people and you divide into two smaller groups. The first group gets to play fetch and other games with a dolphin and has the experience of putting their heads under water to listen to the echo-location of the dolphin. Then you switch groups and get to meet another dolphin. This time you get to watch him jump, pick him up and kiss him. After that you get to watch both dolphins put on a show for you. It's tons of fun and definately worth the money!

Horseshoe Bay

by liqdstar

Horseshoe Bay is a beautiful beach along the south shore. the right side of the beach has cliffs and rocks, which are very scenic, while the left side looks more like a traditional beach, with a wide span of ocean and beach. The sand is super soft, and the water is clear and beautiful! there are only lifeguards at the beach during high season, but you wouldnt really swim in low season anyway, as the water is pretty cold. When we went in January, the water was about 65 deg, too cold for a swim! This was definitely one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen to date!
