Blunt brothers is like a amsterdam cof. shop withouth the amsterdam and without the somewhat legal pot. You can smoke freely in Blunt Brothers and you can get a nice cup of joe and some pretty good pastries while you take in the smells. Pretty cool place but way over rated in my opinion. Whatever

Churchill's Pub is situated on the ground floor below Church Street Steakhouse. The decor is trimmed in a dark wood that gives the place a real comfortable feeling or they just had the lights dim and I was more pissed up than I thought. Anyway, the night that I was in there, it was just me and a hand full of locals...and I think most of them actually worked there, so, everyone was friendly and talkative. By and large, the mood was very laid back and I wished that I could go back for more pints.

This is a great little bar with lots to drink...but best of all, they support the local stuff, Picaroon Brewery. I particularly enjoyed the hell out of the Picaroon's Bitter and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys British style ale.Also, check out the story that inspired the owner to name his pub The Lunar Rogue. As the story goes a man named Henry More Smith (a.k.a. the Lunar Rogue) was accused of stealing a horse back in 1824, was captured by the Sheriff, Walter Bates, but later escaped. Well, the Sheriff, posted signs offering twenty pounds reward for the re-capture of The Lunar Rogue...but alas the Rogue's spirit only lives on in the pub of his name...
Halifax has a ton of bars and pubs...good honest drinking establishments and a good brewing heritage. Home to Alexander Keith's brewery, there are several other small breweries and brewpubs located throughout the city. Add Canada's highest concentration of 18 to 25 year olds and you have one helluva party town.
Come for a walk on the Beach in Matane. Just sit on sea washed logs and admire the spectacular sunset. Then take a lovely walk while listening to the music of the waves that comes at your feet to say a friendly hello.And when the night comes, gather beach wood and make a lovely bondfire. Don't forget to bring your guitar and sing to your heart content. At the B&B Le Love du Pionnier, you can enjoy a lovely night dinner outside. You will enjoy fresh seafood on the grill. Bring your wine, we have the beer and the music.
