Alberton- a great little town about 2 hours west of Charlottetown. I've been spending years here and always want to go back the folowing summer!
'...the fairest land 'tis possible to see!' Jacques Cartier made that entry in his diary when he discovered Prince Edward Island in 1534. It was in Kildare, near Alberton that the French explorer first set foot on Prince Edward Island's fertile soil.
Jacques Cartier Provincial Park,
Cedar Dunes Provincial Park and Mill River Provincial Park. These aren't just parks but have a variety of things to do and see within the area.
There are alot of great things to discover in this area of the island. It's not nearly as exploited by tourism and commercialism as some other parts of the island. The beauty of the land and sea is worth the time it takes to get there.
