Banff Town, Banff National Park
We found there to be a nice mix of reasonably priced shops along with the insanely expensive ones. We actually bought stuff at just a couple of them.
Unique Canadian Alps had a lot of Tshirts and Golf shirts at good prices. They also had some nice jewelry.
Totem Souvenirs had some pretty jewelry and lots of other things.
Moo Ice Cream Shop has some very cute Tshirts. "Finding NeMoo", "The Incredible Moo", "The Moo in the Hat", "Scooby, Dooby Moo", "SpiderMoo", etc However, the ice cream is not very good.
My favorite purchase was a bear carving that we got at the Yoho Natl Park Visitors Center. I later saw it in town for $25 more than I had paid for it.
The Banff Natl Park Visitors Center there on Banff Ave also has some really nice things.
From the Cascade Gardens, Banff Avenue stretches toward the base of Cascade Mountain (2998 m / 9836 ft). It is one of the most beautiful outdoor malls in the world! While we were browsing in the shops, the elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, deer, caribou, moose & grizzly bears were browsing in the park. Incredible, isn't it?
In the town of Banff, you can find quaint little shops selling local crafts & souvenirs. A very nice experience walking around the shops & trying to find special souvenirs to take home for friends & family.
BANFF TOWNSITE: Banff was built to be a mountain resort. About 7000 residents live here.
