If you have kids, Calaway Park is worth a visit. It is an amusement park - primarily with rides suitable for kids. They have a roller coaster which I once rode 15 times in a row -- look Ma, no hands on the whole ride! There are 28 rides and of course food and gift stores, etc. etc. During peak season they also have some stage shows.
Calaway Park is open from May to October (daily during July and August). In 2004, prices range from $14 to $22 per person.
there is an amazing rollercoaster here that defined my existence! in other words it scared me soo much and i understood my limits! i was 8 when i went on it but there was a loop in it so i was right to be scared. so there is definately alot to do here for thrillseekers. being 8, i went with my parents, and calling them 'faint-hearted' would be too nice , but there was alot for them to do! i also remember there was this great maze there, i loved it because it was the first maze i ever went in. and what made it more special was that if you completed it in under 10 mins, you would get a free fridge magnet, which i have to this day!!
really cool place
Calaway Park
This is the largest outdoor amusement park in Western Canada. Great fun for the kids. It was here where I went on a loopy roller coaster for the first time!
