In addition to a church on every corner, Camrose is located in central Alberta on some of the best, black soil, farmland in Canada and the world.

To hedge their bets and to diversify their incomes, Alberta farmers often have mixed farms with grain production alongside animal husbandry. These animals are the signature, white faced, ruddy red, Hereford steers. These are beef cattle, as opposed to dairy cattle, such as the other patented, black and white Holstein dairy cow.

Bruised and battered by Prairie droughts and low farmgate prices, the Alberta farmer has been pushed against the wall for survival. This has had a dramatic effect on many small, rural communities. But, while you are in Alberta, you will want to taste real, grass fed beef. It tastes so much better than steroid injected corn and soybean fed beef. See for yourself.
