Full service gas stations????
Helpfulness
kymbanm 565 reviews
Canadians may find my surprise at finding full service gas stations..... an oddity. But in my area, full service gas stations are a thing of the past - and I haven't driven into one in over 20 years!!!
This young man humored me as I snapped his picture - he thought I was odd too!!
In addition to full service stations being the norm, the gas prices were quite steep during this visit ..... over $1 a litre, averaging about $50 or more a tank!!

Speed Traps .......
I have to say, I never, ever saw a law enforcement vehicle my entire journey through Alberta! For this urban American, I found that eirie ...... but pretty cool too!
I did find out one moderatly high tech means they do use to keep an eye on folks on the road ... these construction zone signs that clock your speed - some of them also have cameras that snap a picture of your car so they can send you a ticket later! So be cautious and watch your speed ... even when you think no one is looking :0
