Hiking up here from Jasper the end of the tramway is a bigger climb then you might think. The views are great specially when the sun breaks through.

Great gletsers and astonising views, lakes and waterfalls. A nice road you can do in one day. We did it from Jasper to Banff.

Go up Mt Whistler is great, you can take the tramway. Even for people like me who are scared of hights can do this!
On top you have great views, a nice hike to the top and various animals and maybe even snow.
We were caught in a small snowstorm, the tramway was closed. Good for us we had pretty warm clothes with us.

While in Jasper and it doesn't matter what season, you can discover new trails of adventure at every turn from walking to climbing to boatings as well as the all time sport of fishing. Maligne Canyon, Edith & Annette Lakes are but a stones toss away from each other. Picnic areas are located by both lakes as well as the Canyon. All places here are equiped with washrooms as well as route maps & guides if need be. Here you can just sit by the lake & view the majestic mountain, listen to the sound of the many birds & animals found in the area.

Address: Jasper area
The Jasper Tramway goes all the way up from 1,304 to 2,277 m. The views on the city and the beautiful nature are magnificent. At the Upper Station, there are a few short trails. Besides, it is possible to walk all the way up and down; which saves you some money, but I do not recommend it as the slopes are very steep.

Here in Jasper the Rocky Mountaineer rail track runs through.
The picture here shows the Railway Station.
This is ideal for train buffs to check out. The box cars on some of the trains, are numerous, even counting past 70 on some occasions.

It's great fun! Even if you've never been white water rafting before we had plenty of instruction so there's no need to worry!! They take photos for you as well which you can view and buy afterwards (like this one).

Maligne Lake is a great blue lake with the famous "Spirits Island". Tickets are quite expensive, but the photos are great!
