This restaurant is tipped in many of the travel guides and by previous visitors on here. Unfortunately our experience was far from good however and was certainly our worst dining experience in 2 weeks travelling the Rockies.
Jasper Pizza is a very busy restaurant with a somewhat boisterous atmosphere. It has a unique system in my experience whereby you queue to order your food, then queue for a table. when your food is available you collect it. We found ourself in standing with our drinks constantly having to move to keep out of peoples way and battling with others who are also waiting to ensure that you get a table before your food is ready.
When we did find a table it was to say the least dirty. Finally to add insult to injury when we found we needed a drinks top up we discovered that you have to join the back of the queue for people ordering food.
All of this could have been accepted if the food had been reasonably priced but in reality prices were to the upper end of the scale.
Favorite Dish: The pizza's were ok but nothing to write home about. With the choice on offer in Jasper you can do better, our favourite was L&W's which had a wider menu, a far more relaxed atmosphere and a sun terrace.
Jasper Pizza Place is an inviting pizza restaurant on Jasper's main street.
When you walk in you have the option of self-serve, where you tell them at the counter what you would like, and when it's ready go to the counter and pick it up, or full-serve, which is just normal restaurant service.
JPP makes their pizzas on a wood fired oven. There are pre-designed pizzas to order from, or you can make one however you like it. They have all your regular toppings, as well as some different selections, including salmon, capers and asparagus. You have a choice of thin or thick crust. They also have a really delicious house salad with an interesting yogurt dill dressing.
The staff are also very friendly and easy going.
They have lots of beer on tap and a couple of pool tables.
Favorite Dish: House salad with lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, peppers and lots of delicious dressing!
Great pizza place on Jasper's main street. You have the choice of a sit down resteraunt where you are served at the table or over the other side you just go up yourself.
Toppings include blue cheese, salmon and feta cheese!!
Waiters/waitresses are really friendly and you can see your food being made in front of you.
Starters are varied too, I had Perogi which is a Polish dish.
Favorite Dish: Perogis!
You walk in and place your order at the mini bar and wait for your number to be called. I suppose if you have a large party you can have the waitress bring it to you. Not really sure, I walked up and got mine. They also have 6 beers on tap. They have other things besides pizza. I had the Chicken Quesadillas and they were awesome.
