Angel Glacier, Jasper NP

At the time (1993) the Jasper Park Rangers were offering free guided walks up Mt. Edith Cavell to view the Angel Glacier. You can see the shape of the angel with outstretched wings in the photo. We sat in Cavell Meadows amongst alpine wildflowers listening to and watching avalanches across the way.

This hike was 8km with a gain of 400m in elevation. Plan on spending 3-4 hrs.

Oh what a feeling!!!

Since 1987, Maligne Rafting Adventures Ltd. has provided quality rafting adventures to visitors who come to Jasper National Park & Mount Robson Provincial Park. It's truly a blast as you travel down the river, through boulders and rapids with others in your boat.

Equipment: The company provides transportation to and from the river as well as life jackets, wet suits, paddle jackets, booties, paddles and helmets. Guests must wear a bathing suit or shorts under their street clothes (if it's rainy or cold, you should plan on packing wool or polypropylene items). You should also bring a towel and dry clothes for after the trip.

hiking along Maligne Lake, Jasper NP

This is another easy level hike along the waters edge of Maligne Lake and then looping back through thick pine forest. It is very popular with families at only 3.2kms. It should take just one hour.
