Favorite thing: Take TransCanada Highway 1 West (also signed as 16th Avenue North heading West)

After approximately 1 hour, you will reach the Banff National Park gates where you will be required to pay an entry fee.

In Banff National Park, follow the signs for the hamlet of Lake Louise.

Take the Lake Louise exit, then turn left at the intersection.

Proceed through 2 stop signs and continue on this road (4km, 2.4mi)

This will take you directly to the front doors of the hotel

by DOUGALSMUM Updated Sep 7, 2002

Favorite thing: THE CHATEAU AT LAKE LOUISE, AND WALKING TO THE END OF THE FROZEN LAKE (TO THE SPOT WHERE I WAS MARRIED)

Fondest memory: NORDIC SKIING NEAR THE CHATEAU, YOU ARE ONLY A FEW HUNDRED YARDS AWAY FROM THE ROAD, BUT IT LOOKS AND FEELS AS IF THERE IS JUST YOU AND YOUR SKIIS ALONE IN THIS PEACEFUL WINTERSCAPE.

Take a ride into the Canadian Rockies

by spartan Written Feb 25, 2003
Where did all of these people come from???

Favorite thing: You are surrounded by beauty and scenery...you just can't escape it. The downside is that with that view, you get tons and tons of people, but look past that and enjoy the serenity.

    Cleanest Lake I Ever Saw

Me at Lake Louise in 1984 (I was 12)

Favorite thing: Lake Louise is the most cleanest lake I ever saw. One of the few that you could see to the bottom. I love the reflection of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
