There really isn't much nightlife in Lake Louise. The hostel has a nice restaurant and lounge where you can watch the hockey games (and everyone in town will be there too, trust me)
the other hotel right next to the hostel property was supposed to have a night club, but i didn't go in.
Bottom line is,,,,if you're staying in Lake Louise don't plan on burning the midnight oil partying,,,
No i havent gone mad, spend part of the evening going on a snowshoe tour into the forest led by one of the chateau's interpretive guides, he will take you into the forest by torchlight-gives adifferent edge to your snowshoeing!
Too strenuous, how about some stargazing, the astronomer/guide will show you maps of the different constellations , and then as you are viewing them through telescope or binoculars he will tell you stories of the local legends connected to the cosmos.
Still too much effort? then try fireside chats held at the chateau, held in a quite corner of the chateau one of the mountain heritage guides will tell you the stories and legends that have grown up around the chateau and lake louise, all you have to do is cozy up with a drink and prepare to be fascinated.
Dress Code: SNOWSHOEING- it is going to be very cold , proper outdoor clothing essential including ski hats and gloves, dont forget your thermals!
FIRESIDE CHATS-casual .
