There are a lot of restaurants in Nanton. Blu's, in my opinion, has the best food and menu. They make their own french fries, cut fresh daily. The prices may seem high, but their...more

The "Aud" as we locals call it is the closest to a nightclub that you are going to get in Nanton. This is the typical small town old hotel, complete with a few rooms, a restaurant and a tavern. The food here is really very good. A lot of my biker friends like stopping in here on a Sunday afternoon for a burger and a beer.
This place has got more character than any other bar for miles around. If you order food in the pub, you're likely to be watched by Bandit, the local cat, until your food is gone. Good luck trying to pet her - living in a bar has taught her to be quick!
There is an assortment of roadkill mounted on the walls of the place. My favorite is the joint-smoking buffalo. But that's not what I really meant by wildlife! The people who frequent The Aud are often quite wild (and odd) themselves.
The Aud has live entertainment (not just the locals, either!) almost every weekend. Often it's of a pretty good caliber.
And every once in awhile one of the local ladies will flash her bazoombas at the crowd.... you just never know your luck in a small town!
Dress Code: Well, considering there was a guy streaking in here one New Year's Eve, I suppose I'd have to say clothing is optional!
Seriously, you'll find everything from manure-covered work boots to 3 inch heels in this place.
Okay I'll be totally honest ...... you'll find a lot more dirty boots than you will heels on most days.Related to:
