The Village is located right on Highway 13 between Wetaskiwin and Winfield. The latter one is about 40 km away. The Village is a cute little strip mall with a nice cafe, a rather expensive clothing store, and some other nifty little boutiques.. During summer there is also a great ice cream store from what I was told. The Eco Cafe has great coffee and an excellent turtle cheese cake..one of the ladies at our retreat really loved it.. I was stuck in a little knick-knack store and bought a few little things..The prices were quite reasonable. BTW Pigeon Lake is just down the street..

The beach is well known in Alberta and people from Edmonton and Calgary drive up to enjoy the lake. There are firepits, picnic tables and lots of campgrounds. Of course it still looks a bit Arctic but come a few more weeks the ice will be gone..
