Favorite thing: Holiday inn express is located off Interstate 2 North in Alberta there is alot to do with the Mall directly across the Street. Grand priare had a " Starbucks and my wife was very happy with a Grande caramal frap..
Red Deer was a very nice town and the people were very friendly, we needed to change currency and a kind gentleman made us follow his lead to the nearest bank my wife was looking for.

Favorite thing: On the road, you are always looking for a place to stop and fill up, buy junk food, and go to the bathroom. When travelling through Red Deer, stop in at the Husky Gas Station - teh best coffee, and cleanest bathrooms around!

The Husky is located along Gasoline Alley (on the side of the highway - can't miss it).

City of parks

Favorite thing: Red Deer is full of parks. The city's council has done an excellent job of preserving the green space and open areas for its community to enjoy. I appreciate the cleanliness too.

Fondest memory: Red Deer's been my home for a long time. When I am away, I generally miss the miles and miles of trails and green spaces.

Gotta get gas!

Favorite thing: They have many gas stations and fast food restaurants. Red Deer has Gasoline Alley. This is because it is smack dab in the middle of Calgary and Edmonton.

Fondest memory: Well, it is not a fond one, but it is funny. The day before I moved home to Montreal, I had to drive down to Calgary from Edmonton. I stopped for gas and a bite to eat in Red Deer. As we were driving through Red Deer, I was telling my boyfriend that there are always cops nabbing people for speeding. Well, what do I do? Speed you say, NO! Apparently I blew a stop sign. OOOOPPPPSSS!

It is absolutely the best place to see the wildlife go wild!!! you will really enjoy Red Deer Alberta--- the fastest growing community in all of Canada!!!! :0) oh yeah--- Black Knight Inn has $5.99 steak sandwiches that are to DIE FOR!!!

Fondest memory: I have lived in Red Deer for about 4 years now and love everything that I see!!! This may be a pit stop for the transit between Edmonton and Calgary, but why is all of the country moving to this place? Come and find out!!! :0)

Favorite thing: There are so many things that you MUST do when in this area. When in Banff, take a ride up the Sulfur Mountain Gondola for spectacular views of Banff. Find an area to go dogsledding, it is the best thing to do in the area. The scenery is great, and breathtaking doesn't describe it! Go skiing at Sunshine Village, just 15 min from Banff, in my opinion it's the best ski area in the WORLD!

Fondest memory: Going dogledding in the mountains just outside of Banff. Also, skiing at Sunshine Village Ski Resort, best place to ski!

Favorite thing: Go shopping.......
Great malls !!
As a guy I didn't like shopping at all, untill we went shopping in Alberta !!
Clean, quiet, neet, great!

Fondest memory: The people.
And a town called Rimbey, because we've lived there.
Nice and quiet town with friendly people, exept for Walter Beekman. If you ever wanna go work on a pigfarm, don't go working for him !!!

All we've seen from Alberta was great, specialy the Rockies ofcourse.

We are still looking for some friends who lived near Lacombe,so....
