    Ravine at winter

St. Albert has a great Walking Trail system called the Red Willow Park. It snakes its way through all of St. Albert and the Braeside Ravine is one of them. If desired one can take a long walk all the way either eastbound where it ends at a playground or westbound where it ends close to the river with St. Albert Centre mall only a few minutes away. The ravine is beautiful at any time of the year..
Take Sir Winston Churchill Ave. Northbound and you will see the sign..

Big Lake and the Observation Platform:

Located at the Southern part of Riel Drive and part of St. Albert's Red Willow Park. It's a beautiful tranquil walk and you can view many birds from the observation platform. Last summer we saw a Herron walking through the tall grass..
