The Stony Plain Multicultural Centre is in the park in the centre of town. It consists of Opperhauser house, the original Stony Plain School and the memorial to Sherriff Umbach. He's the one who chained the wheel of the locomotive to the tracks, forcing the railway to pay its fair share of taxes.

With it's heritage based on many Ukrainian settlers in the area, Stony Plain is home to the Parkland Ukrainian Dancers. My neighbour, Darcy has had 3 of his youngsters in the troup at one time. They've travelled extensively and taken numerous awards.

This church is created entirely from stone gathered from nearby fields. Truly, a gorgeous tribute to the stonemason's craft.

St Matthew Lutheran Cemetery is on the southeast side of town and dates from 1895.

The little church measures about 6 feet wide and 10 feet long and seats 4.
