Tracycakes Bakery Cafe: Great for Lunch or a Treat
Tracycakes used to have a number of cafe's around the Greater Vancouver Area, but they are now down to two (plus a Bakery, which is also in Abbotsford and a great place to grab a loaf of bread or a yummy cookie or cake!), and thankfully this one is only one town away from our home! We've been by a variety of Tracycakes locations over time for lunch, or just to grab some cupcakes and we've never been disappointed. Their sandwich and soup combos are a great way to fill up at lunch time - they've always been delicious when we've gone and the service is always great too! It's a great place to bring the little one's too, as they have yummy little baby cakes, perfect for tiny hands!
The atmosphere of this specific location is great! It's small and quaint, with a sort of shabby chic decor. Perfect for a place that is well known for their yummy cupcakes and high tea (which I have yet to try, but I am determined to do one day!).
The location here is great too! Montrose is is a nice area to stroll around to shop or just window shop! It's a nice little area of Abbotsford to explore and find some treasures. If you are in the area and looking for a yummy lunch or a sweet treat, definitely drop into the Cafe!

Little Farm House Country Market: home-made country goodness
The little kitchen produces some wonderful home-made soups, quiche, desserts, fresh coffee and 60 different teas.
The cafe is behind the store in this old farm house, built in 1930, and there are about six tables. But the menu is large enough to give you plenty of choice.
There is also a new restaurant in downtown Abbotsford - Little Farmhouse in the City at 2551 Montrose Avenue. But you might want to get there by 12 noon - it's a popular lunch spot.
Favorite Dish: At the moment I have to say Carrot Cake as that is the last thing I've eaten there. One slice was large enough to feed four - the cake is moist, full of carrots, and the icing is rich with cream cheese. The Berry Berry fruit tea is refreshing and full of flavour.

Save-On Foods Take-Out Counter at the Deli: The Best Chinese Food in Town
You'd never expect a take-out deli counter from a grocery store to have such excellent food. We have tried a few Chinese food restaurants in town, and all that we have tried have left something to be desired. However, on a whim I brought home Chinese food for dinner after a shopping trip and it turned out to be fantastic. If you are able to find a nice spot to sit and eat, definitely take out Chinese from the Save-on foods counter (the Save-On foods location on South Fraser Way).
Favorite Dish: All of them are great. :)
