Just spent a week here. On Tuesdays you can rent kayaks from Sunshine Kayaks 2 for 1. Good way to see the coast. Better than the expensive boat tour. We drove to Egmont to hike Skookumchuk rapids. Once you leave Sechelt it is windy and there isn't much to see. The walk in to the rapids is an easy stroll through the trees. The rapids are okay. It was more interesting watching the kayakers paddle it. Roberts Creek was a quaint little community to check out. Buy your seafood at IGA. It is fresh and cheap.

Molly's Reach was one of the chief locations in a Canadian television series called "The Beachcombers". This series ran for 19 years on CBC before being cancelled. For millions of Canadians who watched each week it was a cultural icon of the Canadian West Coast . As a result, Nick Adonidas (Bruno Gerussi), Relic (Robert Clothier), and the rest of the folks in The Beachcombers have a place in Canadian TV history.
The walls in Molly's Reach are covered with photographs of the stars and crew of the TV series. The food is decent but it is the experience of being there for most people that makes this an attraction.

This diner was featured for 19 years on Canada's famous TV series, "The Beachcombers". It's an interesting old place with photos of the characters and actors of the show on the wall.
Favorite Dish: We had an excellent bacon & eggs, homefries, coffee, beans, and toast breakfast.

Molly's Reach is THE restaurant in the Canadian TV series The Beachcombers. So, for that reason alone, it is worth a visit. You'll find the walls covered in photographs of the stars and crew of the TV series, in the front room, and then in the back dining area, the walls are covered with lovely paintings of the area, some for sale.
You can hop off your boat (please tie up first), and run up the hill to the restaurant, and look out over the harbour. Or, if you've come by car, come on in.
Favorite Dish: I didn't have a meal, just raspberry-blueberry pie with iced-tea. That pie was delicious - not sure if it was made on the premises, but it was worth the trip. Frankly, I don't think a place that didn't serve decent food would really survive - tv show or no tv show.
