White Water Rafting is one of the fun sports to do here. The companies take you on tours of different lenghts and degrees of difficulty, rafting the Kicking Horse River.
At certain points you can take the chance, jump into the water and float along and over currents. Even though also in mid-summer the water is only about 4°C it´s worth the fun.
Equipment: All gear is supplied by the companies. But you can bring your own teewah`s if you like. Otherwise they´ll have wetsuits, slippers and lifevests ready for you.
