In the past I bought a very neat meditation ring. I tried to buy more this time but ever since the tsunami they have not been able to contact the Thai man who made them. Very sad. I cherish the ring even more now.

Groceries, alcohol, clothing, toys, hardware, bakery, magazines, ice, etc. The COOP is the largest store on Hornby Island and you can usually find everything here. Warning though - it can get very busy. Order alcohol from the catologue downstairs.
Gas station next door as is the ringside market with coffee shops, ice cream, food, books, clothing, gifts, etc.

Fabulous market in the trees. Items for sale include lots of pottery, quilts, photography, baked goods, fresh fruit and veg, jewellery, etc.
Some quality artists sell their work here and even if you don't purchase anything the market is a feast for the eyes.
I noticed at least 50% of shoppers had bought a mango on a stick or a chocolate covered banana on a stick.
Operates throughout summer on Saturdays at 11am - 2pm. I also read somewhere it is on Wed. too.
