They usually appear the strongest around midnight, so it's worth to stay up a little. I am sure the locals will let you know when they expect a big activity of Northern Lights. That's how we knew and we stayed up for them. It was sure worth the wait and something I can put into words.

Music in the Park is a series of free concerts that run July and August in downtown Kamloops. The music runs from rock to country to international to comedy, so you never know what you'll see and hear. The concerts usually start around 7 pm every night. Bring a blanket, towel or sarong to sit on. If you're feeling really ambitious, bring a picnic, too!
