Cypress Mountain, located high above West Vancouver offers skiing on two mountains with varied terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. There are five chair lifts with a total of 34 runs, and a vertical lift of 1,750 feet. Mt. Strachan has an elevation of 1450 m (4750 ft) while Black Mountain reaches 1220 m (4000 feet). Since 1926, local skiers have been flocking to Grouse Mountain, however, instead of just one run, skiers today can choose from 24 runs.
