Luggage and bags: BC is a great place for backpacking though so far I have yet to do any aside from the multi-day canoe trip at Bowron Lake Provincial Park. A day pack is certainly something you will want to bring as BC is a hiker's paradise.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good sturdy hiking boots and thick socks come in handy with all these National and Provincial Parks. The weather is highly changeable so bring synthetic layers. In case you have not heard, BC gets a fair amount of rain so bring some gear for that too!
Photo Equipment: As you can see from the photos, some of these were before I had a good camera. I would love to go back with my 10-22mm some day. Bring a wide angle like this for the big landscapes that BC overs and a good zoom for its wildlife.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Bring a tent, mats, sleeping bags, and a cooker to not only cut your costs but to enjoy the beautiful nature that is BC.
Miscellaneous: My wife only got to see a bit of BC on our recent 2008 trip but I would love to bring her back. I guess she can't complain, she did have six months traveling around western North American and she's seen more than most people will see in a lifetime there. Though short, I enjoyed my time in BC with her most.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Just about everyone has a large bore heater on their hip fishing and hiking. New Alaska law requires No permit to carry a concealed weapon.... enjoy your hike!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Actually in summer too. Weather in BC is quite unpredictable. It is often the case that you go through sunshine, clouds, rain, wind, (sometimes) hail, sunset,...in one day.
