Internationally renowned artist, Gordon Henschel, has a beautiful art gallery just south of Port McNeill. You can see in his paintings, the gallery itself, and the landscape outside, how much the Henschel's cherish the natural world.

Here you can browse for two hours, purchase a painting or a print, framed or unframed.

visit a fabulous testimony to the resilient spirit of the Kwakwakawakwh people who have fought so hard to maintain their history, their language and their culture. Recently some of the ancestral masks were returned, and this Cultural Centre was built, so they need not be kept in hiding any more.

Up the hill from this centre is the Great House where you can watch some of the traditional dances during the summer months.

Its a rough road to Telegraph Cove but worth it when you get there. The buildings mostly were built in the forties. More of a resort than a town, there is a pub, accommodation and a restaurant. This building is a museum of bones.
