I am a beginner bird watcher, but it is easy to tell there are quite a few species of birds in Rocky Point park. First, the shore birds. Ducks, loons, dunlins, sandpipers, herons, and bald eagles. Then the bush birds. The scacengers, the crows. I am hoping to find owls, if at all possible.
On the edge of the water there is this cute park with trails and bike path. You can see wildlife, go on the pier and admire the local mountains, or just lay around on the grass. You also have access to an outdoors pool and a ramp for boaters.
In terms of wildlife, lots of ducks, some blue herons, little birds, squirrels, salmon spawning, black bears, and bald eagles are not uncommon.
