BC Ferries provides passenger and vehicle transportation on 25 routes throughout coastal British Columbia. There are two BC Ferries vessel that take people to and from Powell River. One goes in the direction of Vancouver BC, and the other takes you in the direction of Vancouver Island BC, although it can be quite an expensive way to get to and from these places, it has become part of our everyday life.
I recommend the circle pass that you can get through BC ferries, this allows you to go on the two ferries from Powell River to Vancouver, onto another ferry which will take you to Vancouver Island, and then on another ferry back to Powell River. This is an interesting way to sight see more than one place.

This great little airline provides a 30 minute flight to and from Vancouver. It's located in the South terminal at Vancouver International Airport in Vancouver, and with a shuttle bus can take you and your luggage to any international flight you may need to catch.
