Head for the Chilcotin country for wilderness at its best! Pictured is magnificent Chilko Lake, nestled in the Coast Range, unspoiled, rugged and pristine. There are hundreds of lakes and in the Cariboo region that are know for their fantastic rainbow trout fishing. Most lakes are accessible from the networks of logging roads that crisscross much of the area. Other lakes are fly-in from centres like Williams Lake, 100 Mile House, Quesnel, Nimpo Lake, Bella Coola, and Prince George.
Fondest memory: Driving through the Caribou-Chilcotin region in autumn is an unforgettable sight with all the aspen and poplar trees blazing in their gold leaves.
