Dolly's Fish Market: Great Fresh Seafood out of a small kitchen

We had dinner in Cow Bay at Dolly's, which didn't look like much from outside.... or inside, either. Half a fish store, and half a restaurant with not a lot of tables. Someone actually left for us to have their table. Suspect that we were the only non-locals! It was excellent food, though - I had a shrimp dinner - with shrimp (salad size) cocktail to begin, and then batter-fried butterflied prawns, and a good ceasar salad. My traveling companion had a fancier chili-lime prawn cocktail followed by halibut cordon bleu, which he said was very good too. It was good that we had an uphill climb to reach the B&B after the meal!

Favorite Dish: The shrimp was excellent - as a shrimp cocktail and then on the platter. My friend had a thai chili prawn cocktail for a starter and then halibut cordon bleu for a main. We both had the deep fried ice cream for dessert.
They do serve alcohol, but you're not there for an extensive wine list - red or white, and I think beer as well.

There aren't too many places that you can really enjoy the atmosphere, hospitality and food like it has here. Close to the Information Office and Dock where local boats and Cruise Ships come in .

Favorite Dish: Clam Chowder and Mussels. The Clams are morning fresh and the taste is Just DELICIOUS.

Portside Restaurant: The Salmon Was Great

The Portside Restaurant was in the Anchor Inn where we stayed for two nights. We ate at the restaurant one evening. It was quiet and relaxing and the service was very good. The seafood dishes we ordered were very good, and we just had to have salmon in Prince Rupert. We found on our trip that some of the best restaurants are the ones right in the hotel where you are staying. The Portside Pub & Grill was next door and looked like a nice place for those who like that type of atmosphere.

Favorite Dish: I can't remember for sure the name but it was a salmon / pasta dish that was very good.
