Salmo is hard to miss. It's stuck right where Highway 6 and Highway 3 meet.
Highway 3 - The Crowsnest Highway stretches from Hope, BC, (about 130 km east of Vancouver) across the Rocky Mountains to Medicine Hat, Alberta. It is sort of BC's second east-west highway (though it was completed sooner than Highway 1). More people use the Trans Canada Highway to the north, but Highway 3 serves more towns. It is known as the Crowsnest because it crosses the Rockies at Crowsnest Pass.
Highway 6 - Highway 6 is the epitome of a BC backroad. It starts in Vernon just north of Lake Okanagan and winds somewhat southeasterly to Nelson then south to the US Border at Nelway. It is not the fastest way to get anywhere, but it's high passes, lake ferries and views are quite spectacular.
