From Vancouver travel South via highways 99 and 17 and in half an hour you end up at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. From here there are ferries to:
-Swartz Bay (Victoria)
-Duke Point (Nanaimo)
-Southern Gulf Islands (Salt Spring, Mayne, Galiano, Penders and Saturna)

At highway 17 there is overhead info displayed about waiting times for the the next avalable crossings.

With over 45 individual shops plus a further thirty, across 56th Street, this is an ideal place to obtain the items forgotten prior to taking a trip on BC Ferries to the Islands

On Sunday mornings there is a used car sales area in the main car park which is very popular for the folk of the area

What to buy: A good number of restaurants and drug stores plus Supermarkets are all located in and around this Mall
