Ucluelet Restaurants

An old fashioned fried chicken shop caught our attention on the main road in Ucluelet, for frankly, there wasn't a whole lot going on in Ucluelet in the culinary department that our eyes could immediately see. After dining on gourmet meals at resort prices for the previous 2 days, our eyes widened at the menu of corn dogs, chicken strips and 2 piece chicken meals.

We brought our food outside to the picnic table and basked in the rare late February sun while we watched the bored local kids entertain themselves while the crows endlessly stalked our food from the telephone wires above.

Favorite Dish: The 2 piece chicken meal with 2 side orders. Get the potato wedges (deep fried with a crispy batter) and the coleslaw (fresh cabbage, lightly dressed). The potato wedges are massive and are quite tasty. Order a side of gravy for the chicken and you're set! The chicken was perfect with crispy skin.

All of us ordered pasta and seafood dishes with wine. Service was great and entrees were delicious. We all felt it was a great value for the moderate prices. One of party had been here before on a business trip.

I would definitely dine here again.
