This was one of the first bars I went to when I first traveled to BC. Some local girls took me here and I have been coming back every time I am in Vancouver. I really dig this bar. It is pretty unique. They have big wooden picnic / bench tables that are covered in graffiti. The food is really good for being a bar, and it is very reasonable in price. They have really cool shirts that are knock offs of Coca cola, or the Canucks, but instead it just says the Cambie. Definetly a bar for the younger crowd.

Whatever you like.
The Cambie is a great time, for Vancouverites and young travelers from around the world. Since it is located in the bottom floor of The Cambie Hostel, you are bound to meet tons of young travelers from all over the world. The food is good, and the cheap drinks are a bonus! It is very busy on the weekends, and a line up usually forms. Although it isnt very clean.. (watch out for the washrooms!) The Cambie is great for young people.. rock music, cheap beer, good food, and good times. What more do you need?

Every night at the cambie it is off the hook. Everynight my buddy and i would end up there and it would turn out that the best music and cheapest beer in town. Its a large bar that also has a outside seating area. its got a pool table, darts, huge bar and plenty of seating. I highly recommend you end up here before the night is out.
Dress Code:
honestly whatever you would like, but since its a bar i wouldnt wear a suit but anything else goes.
The Cambie is centrally located in downtown Vancouver. Just a great athmosphere and good music (if you like rock that is). Burgers are average like in most other places around. Good place to drink a beer or two.
There's also a nice hostel upstairs. See other tips.
Like Katz Pub this place is dirt cheap. The Cambie is the hangout for people who want to look tough but don't have the balls to venture up East Hastings (not that it's a good idea). If you want the cheap beer you'll have to put up with the attitude.
It's kind of like a theme bar that's going for a seedy look. That said - because of the area The Cambie has it's share of shady activity going on.
