Ambleside Park is another great way to enjoy the outdoors in Vancouver. The views from this side of Burrard Inlet are quite different, with Stanley Park, Lions Gate bridge, downtown, and UBC visible, along with ships coming in or going out to sea. Cobbly beaches, a large children's playground and plenty of space attract families, walkers/runners, cyclists and pets on sunny days.

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

There is an abandoned railroad track that runs east to west in the district of West Vancouver that has become a great public access nature path. We meet there on ocassion to walk our beagles together so they get revive their pack mentality. There are several lookouts along the way that give outstanding views of Georgia Strait and the local islands.
