Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
Vancouver gets very wet. The climate is similar to Seattle in that rain happens frequently due to location. I reccomend you bring any rainy weather gear you may have. An umbrella will seem priceless if it starts to rain while you're out on a tour.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear:
Anyone camping in the nearby woods/forest area should bring som type of bug spray. The best brand that I've used so far is called Off Heavy Woods. Because weather is unpreductable, you should try the layer method so you won't be too cold or hot.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
Now normally this would be where I would warn everyone to bring a large umbrella, a raincoat and boots because it rains and rains and rains 11 months out of the year and sometimes 12.
BUT, something VERY STRANGE (almost frightening) has been happening. I guess it can only be described as the great drought of 2000/1! An entire winter with minimum rain and maximum blue sky.
My advice: get here soon. Payback is inevitable and it'll be ugly!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: No good Vancouverite ever leaves home without raingear! Well, there may be a couple of days in the summer ....
