Capones Restaurant and Live Jazz Club: Yummy Meze for two

Ok...ok...ok I had a few to drink and didn't realize that this was an Italian Restaurant, until it was obviously pointed out to me. My company and I shared a meze platter of roasted garlic, cheese, some sausage thingy. Ha. It was brilliant. We sat on the patio under heaters.

    Capone's: Fantastic Pizza

Tucked away in Trendy Yaletown is Capone's...it kinda feels like one long hallway, but in an okay way. The pizzas are a-mazing (and half-price on Tuesdays). They have live jazz/blues every night, but it's not so loud that you can't have a conversation. Everything is gangster-themed; the pizza I tried (and loved) was called the Alcatraz. Martinis are also their specialty, but I can't comment on their quality...yet.

Favorite Dish: Pizza. The Alcatraz (the only one I've tried) has spinach, pesto and scallops. V. cool topping combinations. Pastas looked good, too.
