You wonder why so many Filipinos get diabetes? Come to delicious Goldilocks and you'll see why. Gaze in awe at the rows of sweet cakes, pastries, and filipino desserts. Open a can of condensed milk, mix with 3 cups of sugar, and 2 sticks of butter. What have you got? None other but one of these oh-so-delicious yet artery-clogging delicacies!!

cassava
macapuno roll
leche flan
Any good Filipino is very familiar with Goldilocks :) It is a staple part of his or her vocabulary.
This one is special, because it's the only one in this part of North America. This is a Filipino-based franchised bakery/restaurant specializing in - you guessed it - Filipino food. There are stores all over the Philippines and all over California...but this is the only one in the great Northwest.
Maybe it's pathetic that I come here all the way from Seattle just to get some decent Filipino sweets.
Favorite Dish:
baked goods:
pan de sal - traditional filipino bread
ensaymada - sweet bread with fillings inside
siopao - meat filled bun
cassava bibingka - amazing dessert, made from yucca and macapuno
leche flan - think of flan, just a bit more solid
hot foods:
lumpia (fresh or fried)
chicken adobo - typical dish
sotanghon guisado
dinuguan - for the more adventurous
bangus
A visit to Goldilocks is both a culinary AND visual treat! They have a well earned reputation for offering some of the most elaborately adorned cakes available in Vancouver!
Favorite Dish:
I was fortunate enough to be able to visit the story with two VT members of Filipino ancestry. They gave me a detailed description of each & every delicacy.
Definitely a Yummy place to go!
