The Mill Marine Bistro: A great patio in Coal Harbour!

I had so much enjoyed walking around Coal Harbour that I was thrilled when Catherine's friends Shannen and Dave suggested we meet them for dinner at The Mill, a restaurant with a nice outdoor patio overlooking Coal Harbour. I was also happy to see that they didn't actually charge you for the view, as everything on the menu seemed to be reasonably priced. As a bistro, The Mill specializes in "healthy pub fares", which include a nice selection of fresh - not fried - appetizers, salads, sandwiches and pizzas. They also offer a variety of beers, cocktails and wines, perfect for eating out on a patio :o) One thing to keep in mind: every night, Vancouver's nine o'clock gun fires from Stanley Park, which is right across the harbour, and might make you jump out of your skin! Other than that, I had a really good time and a good meal at The Mill.

Favorite Dish: The hummus & pita appetizer was really good and quite filling!

The Mill Marine Bistro: The Mill Marine Bistro

I ate at the Mill Marine Bistro recently with my boyfriend and his friends from work. Located on a patio along the Coal Harbour sea wall, the Mill Marine Bistro is a very picturesque location for lunch of dinner.

Favorite Dish: I had the Wild BC Grilled Salmon Panino "on an open faced French baguette with fresh tomatoes served with wild & gathered organic greens". Their online menu says it was $10, but I recall it being $11.

The Mill marine bistro: The prettiest waiters and the best beer

Whatever goes for local is here: food, beer, staff. The staff is the best-looking bunch of waiters seen on that side of the ocean. That's something. But over the foam of your beer you can also view the sea plane harbour and kau\yakers and motor boaters cruising the inlet and Coal Harbour..
This was a very good place to sit down outside the hotel and business atmosphere of the CBD. Totally relaxed place. Chinese-run and efficient.

Favorite Dish: Did not eat here, but the food that passed by looked good, and the menu, too.
Had a couple of local ales and beers - superb stuff, not to be bypassed. Draft, all of it.
