A Great restaurant with modern decor and comfortable chairs. Ask for a window table, but if one is not available, no worries, all the tables have excellent views. It is simply breathtaking, we sat right behind where the trams come in and out and it was a blast watching all the people come and go. Have I mentioned the views?
Favorite Dish: The Nacho's. They were so good. Also, the jalepeno corn bread and pulled pork sounds odd, but it is exquisite. Try it, you'll like it.
Ok so I admit the main reason we came was becasue it enabled us to get free admission to the park but hey at $30 per person half od our meal was paid for.You need to make a reservation early for the Observatory and even earlier if you want a table by the front window. Get here early and you can enjoy the park ad attractions before your meal.
The food here is superb and I was very surprised just how good everything was. It's very much west coast food so expect Salmon and all the usuals on the menu. The wine list is very much provincial and as we were just back from the Okanaga there were lots of familiar varieties. The service is enthusiastic and the dining room is quite cosy with only a few tables.
We went up on a cloudy day so we intend to do a return trip when we can actually see something out of the window. You really do pay for the location but the food is very good so you shouldn't feel too hard done by if you catch the rain or the clouds.
The Observatory on Grouse Mountain, for a special occasion.
The location and getting there, wonderful views over the city.
Favorite Dish: To long ago to remember, but I know I had a great time so the food must have been good, but pricey!!
