There are several Thai restaurants in Vancouver but my one constant favourite is Sala Thai. The food is always delicious and the service consistently good. The first Sala Thai opened near the Park theatre on Cambie Street but more recently they opened one up in the heart of downtown, across the street from the Paramount Theatre. This downtown location is much larger than the other and has a private party room in case you have a larger crowd.
Favorite Dish: I always like trying something different but have never been disappointed by any dish here.
This is another of my favourite restaurants! The food is fantastic, and the ambience is quite nice. The staff are always very attentive too.
Favorite Dish: My favourite meal is a combination of dishes, it's good to go with others so you can share!
Pad Thai is a must-have standard Thai noodle dish made with shrimp, lemongrass and peanuts, then I particularly recommend any of the chicken curries, and the beef or chicken with green beans in chili sauce is great (this last one's a little spicy!). Ladel it all over top of the bottomless rice, and it's a great meal!
One dish per person with rice costs about $10-12, and is enough to fill you up, but as I mentioned, it's much better to share :)
Very nice thai restaurant. From the decor to the excellent staff, this is the best thai restaurant in Van. The servers are dressed in authentic thai outfits and the fruit sculptures are impressive.
Favorite Dish: You can order froma variety of hotness, from mild to very hot, and boy is it hot.My fave dish is probably the cashew chicken with medium hotness, try it out, enjoy!
