Jackson's Meats is an institution in Vancouver, having been around since 1911. They're still family owned and providing high quality meats, cheeses, and prepared foods at reasonable prices.
What to buy:
I especially like their "Scotch Meat Pies". I often buy 3 or more at once and freeze them. Then when I want a tasty snack I put one in a bowl, along with a generous amount of frozen peas or corn. A few minutes in the microwave and I'm eating some delicious food!
After being back in Vancouver several months and trying out 2 other hair salons, I finally found one that I really like.
Frank's Barbershop is located in the heart of the South Granville shopping district. It is now run by Frank's daughter, Rosanna. She is personable, funny, highly skilled, and efficient. In other words, the perfect place to get your hair cut!
What to pay:
$17 - Men's haircuts
