 | Vancouver Stanley Park Reviews | Tips 51 - 60 of 182 | | You can literally spend the whole day at Stanley park and do 20 different things. There are old-growth forests to walk through, the Seawall to walk, bike, jog or rollerblade around (6.5 miles round trip), horse-drawn tours, the rose gardens to smell, totem poles at Brockton Point, the nine o'clock gun that fires each day at 9 pm, cricket matches, the great Vancouver Aquarium, a miniature train and petting zoo for the kids, the huge red cedar tree also known as the National Geographic Tree, beaches galore, and two lighthouses (my personal favorite!). It is defintely a must see if you are in Vancouver for any length of time. Directions: North-western end of downtown Vancouver

One of the highlights of Vancouver. This is an absolutely stunning park, where you can spend a whole day seeing all its different sights. From Totem Poles to the great Sea Wall, from local fishermen to ponds and the acquarium, but most of all beautiful greenery and beaches. Locals and tourists alike seem to find a place in their heart for Stanley park. I strongly suggest biking around the Sea Wall - it is about 10-12 kms and you may be a bit tired in the end but is definitely worth it. Stanley Park, a large urban park in Vancouver, truly brings nature into the city. This park offers lots to see and do, including totem poles, an aquarium, hiking trials, gardens, and a miniature railway. It also gives you the opportunity to view the Vancouver skyline as well as walk along the seawall to see the beautiful mountains and seas. It is an excellent place to ride a bike. The park is extremely large for walking, so there's a free shuttle bus (trolley) that runs in Stanley Park. It has stops at 14 convenient locations. Or you can do a horse-drawn carriage ride in Stanley Park. Leave a Comment

The Lost Lagoon Fountain was originally constructed in 1936. This is a great section of Stanley Park for walking, relaxing and watching the Canadian Geese in the waters everywhere. Enjoy your time in this area. Leave a Comment Address: West end of Georgia Street, Vancouver

Stanley Park is one of Vancouvers mainstay tourist attractions. What makes it so great is the beautiful viewpoints of the city, mountains and ocean from the park. As I understand it is the biggest urban park in North America and unlike other parks it is almost entirely forest. This means there is lots of wildlife to see and many trails to hike or walk along. Another fun thing to do is to walk , rollerblade or cycle along the seawall. There are so many nice views of landmarks such as Canada Place, the city itself, Lions Gate Bridge (built by Authur Guiness of the beer fame), the surrounding mountians and of beautiful english bay. Be warned that there is construction currently going on from March 2004 - to June 2004 so part of the seawall is closed. Leave a Comment Address: West end of Georgia Street, Vancouver
