    The Aquarium has had a number of changes, mainly the loss of the killer whales, but still has seals, beluga wales and porpoises, as well as a beautiful display of fishes in the main aquarium.

    Operated by a non-profit association under lease from the Vancouver Park Board, the Vancouver Aquarium is open daily and an admission fee is charged.

    I don't know if this really is a tourist trap but I did feel really uncomfortable with seeing any sea creature being in such confined space. I don't think it is badly run but the is something so magical about sea life in its natural habitat, the wild, that I cannot enjoy this anymore. I have seen Orcas in the wild and now the Beluga - Alaska is on my wish list!

    Go whale watching but make sure it is as ecofriendly as can be possible, otherwise your better off going to a water park like this you'll do less damage.
