Adriana's: The best Mexican in Victoria
Adriana's is located in a converted heritage home just off Pandora and Johnson on Amelia Street. The atmosphere has an authentic Mexian flair, and there is an outside patio as well.
The prices for entrees range from $10-15 Canadian for lunch, $ 15-20 for dinner. A nice touch is upon arrival you get a small appetizer. a pastry filled with mildly spiced yams.
Adriana herself is very friendly and will stop by to say hello while you are there.
They are only open for lunch and dinner Mon-Sat.
Favorite Dish: The Enchiladas Fiesta Mole with chicken (you can get it with beef or roasted veggies). They come with rices, refried beans and a small portion of salad. The Fiesta Mole sauce has chilies, spices, nuts and a hint of chocolate.
My second choice (cause I like seafood) is the Tacos La Paz, soft tacos with beer battered deep fried snapper with a chipotle ailo sauce.

Adriana's Cocina Mexicana: Authentic & Delicious Mexican Cuisine
This is definitely my new favorite restaurant in Victoria! It's the kind of place that makes you forget every other restaurant in the city and makes you want to eat there every time to you go out for a meal.
Adriana herself is from Mexico, and she dishes up Victoria's most authentic Mexican cuisine in her little restaurant located in an old heritage home. We were seated and immediately offered a free appetizer of DEEELICIOUS yam fritters... soft and smooth inside with a delicate, flaky crust. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas that were amazing and nibbled on tortilla chips and salsa while we waited for our entrees.
I had the vegetarian enchiladas in the mole sauce. The mole sauce was wonderful and the enchiladas were great because they were full of huge pieces of vegetables, like sweet peppers and yams. Definitely no plain-white-tortilla-overload here! The enchiladas were served with refried beans, rice and salad (the salad dressing was also great). Everyone else also had enchiladas, and everyone else also raved about how great they were. From what I gather, the enchiladas are the most popular dish.
Service was great and the staff at the restaurant even offered to take a photo of us, which they emailed to our home later that night. I can' wait to go back (again and again) for more awesome Mexican food!
