Whenever I head over to Victoria, I've always got to have at least one meal here at John's Place. The food is just like momma makes, good sized portions, and freshly baked bread with real butter. Desert is also fantastic! You can purchase a loaf of bread to take back to your home and/or hotel.

Favorite Dish: ALL OF THE ABOVE

Love this place. It's always crowded though.

Favorite Dish: Beef Burger. But almost anything seems to taste good. They have everything from Thai Curry to Fish' n Chips. Even tasty vegan burgers. We come here often. A good standby.

I was told that John's is the best place to go for breakfast, and I have to admit, it was pretty darn good. Lots of menu options for breakfasts including build your own omlettes and the most extensive eggs benny menu I've ever seen. Very casual environment.

I know I read about this place before I went to Victoria; it somehow attracted me although it was listed at rank #22 in our Victoria restaurant list.

I must say, I was not disappointed at all. Having a perfect stew in a tropical fruit was a piece of cooking art and great to eat.

Furthermore this place displays so much history at its walls, it's like dining in a museum.

It's a bit longer walk in downtown Victoria, but sure worth the effort!

Never had a bad experience at John's...neat atmosphere and the food is great.

Two locations - one on Pandora (John's Place) and the other in Colwoood (John's other place)

Favorite Dish: The salad with yoghurt dill dressing..can't find it anywhere else!
