The Old Spaghetti Factory is a popular restaurant chain in Canada. Or well the Northwest of the continent. In fact I've only seen it around Seattle, Vancouver, and Victoria.
Anyway what this place offers is a chain restaurant feel. Meals a decent, not great. Prices are great, and they do cater well for families.
Word of warning. We were there on a Saturday night in Mid May 2007. It was packed. People were waiting for an inside table because it was chilly. They had to wait over 1/2 an hour for a table. As we were willing to sit outside, which was still fairly fully, we only had a 5 minute wait to be seated.
Favorite Dish: The restaurant does specialize in pasta but I opted for the steak. Of course the option here was served with spaghetti, or chips. Most unusal getting a steak with spaghetti I thought, but hey it was different, and a welcome change from the standard fries.
Each of the main meals came with either a salad or soup which they would bring prior to the meal. In addition they also serve bread to the table complimentary, and this is re-filled if you run out.
My steak wasn't big by any means, but was satisfying. It only cost $15 too.
The Old Spaghetti Factory is a branch of a chain that has these restaurants in four Canadian Provinces.
