A nice view of Cathedral Mountain

The Takakkaw Stream cuts a swath in the dense forest granting the hiker a beautiful view of the Cathedral Crags which just top out at slighly over 10,000 feet in elevation (3073 meters).

at the basin of Takakkaw Falls

All that water pours over the cliffside every second of every minute of every day. Yet the total accumulation on the valley floor is not much more than if the stream started with a bubbling spring.

    Wapta Falls

About a forty-five minute hike from a small road off the highway is another great falls, Wapta Falls. We only climbed halfway down the falls as it started to rain heavily.
