Great Architecture
by Canuckette
If you do happen to be in Winnipeg, do visit the legislature. The architecture is splendid, and there is a really neat spot beneath the dome. I think it's called the Black Star Gallery or something. The accoustics are out of this world. If you whisper tanding on the inlaid marble star, your voice is projected through out the whole space. This is something you must experience. There is no entrance fee, and although you can get a guided tour, you can visit this gallery on your own.
See provincial legislature buildings in Winnipeg
by bkathryn
As we were driving across the Western part of Canada when we moved from BC to Ottawa, in August 1988, we tried to pass through each of the provincial capitals and see their provincial government buildings (or legislatures). Manitoba's is in Winnipeg.
