On a typical summer's day, the park is full - people on the beach, people using the barbeques, running over the dunes. Grand Beach Provincial Park has large parking lots for many people (although one year one entire parking lot was off limits as a ground-nesting bird had chosen the parking lot as its nesting site).

Besides the beach, Grand Beach has lots to offer -- we went for a hot dog roast one day in May. It was a little chilly for swimming - I think the lake still had ice in it, but we managed to have fun none-the-less
