Cape Race is the southeast tip of Newfoundland. There is a lighthouse at Cape Race. Cape Race is not a touristy destination. Cape Race juts into the North Atlantic. It is usually blustery damp and miserable. Cape Race is rocky and barren. There are no shops or tropical beaches. However, it is a place you should go just to say you've seen it.

You get to Cape Race by travelling over about 20 kilometers of gravel road from Portugal Cove South. The gravel road is often not well maintained. It is my opinion that it is not fit for an RV. But a car or truck would make it there.
